The aims at this research to know the relationship between self-regulated learning and the ability representation of mathematic of students’ at SMPN 18 Tangerang in the first semester of school year 2017-2018. Samples were taken two classes VII-4 and VII-5. The sample technique used on this research was cluster random sampling. The research used survey method with the correlational approach. Data analysis is done quantitatively. The instrument used are questionnaire for self-regulated learning which has 27 statements and test for students the ability representation of mathematic which has 5 essay questions. The research showed that student learning independence affects the high ability of students' mathematical representation either in the form of visual representation, mathematical or symbolic expression. Therefore, the result of this research concludes that there is a correlation between self-regulated learning and the ability representation of mathematics.
