Abstrak

This research is an experiment focused on developing student Mathematical critical thinking skills ability between Problem Based Learning model and Student Team Achievement Division model in math lesson. The underlying problems of this research include the ability of students mathematical critical thinking  skills is low so its is necessary alternative learning that can developing the ability. The purpose of this research is to know whether or not differences of students mathematical critical thinking skills ability between Problem Based Learning model and Student Team Achievement Division model in 56 Junior High School Jakarta. The research method used is true experimental design. The population in this study are all students of class VIII in 56 Junior High School Jakarta. The sample of this research are 69 students consist of 35 students from experimental class 1 and 34 students from experimental class 2 with the sampling technique used purposive sampling. Instrument of this research using mathematical critical thinking skills ability test which has been tested validity and reliability test. Test requirements using normality with lillifors test and homogenity test with Fisher test. After the data is normal and homogent, then tested the hypothesis with uji-t, obtained of  with significance , it means  rejected. The conclusion of the research is differences of students mathematical critical thinking skills ability between Problem Based Learning model and Student Team Achievement Division model.
