Karakteristik Aliran dan Perpindahan Panas terhadap Variasi Geometri Alat Penukar Kalor Fin-and-Tube

Abstrak

Peningkatan laju perpindahan panas pada alat penukar kalor jenis fin-and-tube menjadi topik yang menarik untuk diinvestigasi. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan memodifikasi geometri fin-and-tube untuk mengetahui karakteristik aliran dan perpindahan panas yang terjadi di sekitar saluran. Modifikasi geometri yang diterapkan adalah bentuk square dan diamond yang disusun secara staggered. Kemudian, aliran udara yang masuk ke dalam saluran sirip divariasikan pada rentang bilangan Reynolds 133 hingga 931 yang seharusnya jenis alirannya adalah laminar. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa perpindahan
panas dan pressure drop pada bentuk square lebih baik daripada diamond. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada tingginya nilai koefisien perpindahan panas konveksi dan rendahnya pressure drop aliran.
