Abstrak

Background: Stunting remains a nutritional issue in Indonesia as it can lead to various negative impacts on children, such as growth disorders, cognitive problems, and other negative consequences. Sawangan District still has stunted toddlers that need to be prevented and addressed. This activity aims to enhance the knowledge and practices of posyandu cadres in Sawangan District, Depok, regarding complementary feeding (MPASI) and how to prepare it to prevent toddler stunting. Method: This educational activity used four methods: lectures, interactive discussions, practical sessions, and participatory approaches, held from August 13-15, 2024, at the Sawangan District Office, with 33 posyandu cadres as participants. Knowledge data were collected before and after the education using pretest and posttest instruments for activity evaluation. Results: There was an increase in participants' knowledge during the practical session of preparing complementary feeding (MPASI). Cadres demonstrated exemplary skills in preparing creative MPASI menus. Conclusion: The MPASI educational activity, conducted using interactive and participatory methods combined with practical sessions, effectively increased the cadres' knowledge of MPASI.
