Abstract
Background: Masa neonatus merupakan periode kritis yang menentukan derajat kesehatan bayi di masa mendatang. Kurangnya pemahaman ibu tentang perawatan neonatus dapat meningkatkan risiko morbiditas dan mortalitas bayi baru lahir. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu pasca persalinan dalam merawat bayi baru lahir melalui edukasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa kebidanan dengan pendampingan langsung dari dosen pembimbing. Metode: Kegiatan dilaksanakan di wilayah binaan Program Studi Kebidanan dengan metode penyuluhan, demonstrasi perawatan bayi baru lahir (seperti perawatan tali pusat, tanda bahaya, dan teknik menyusui yang benar), serta diskusi interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pretest dan posttest sederhana untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan ibu, serta observasi keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa dalam proses edukasi. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang perawatan neonatus dan peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam mengedukasi masyarakat. Pendampingan dosen berperan penting dalam memastikan akurasi informasi yang disampaikan dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mahasiswa di lapangan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini menjadi model kolaboratif yang efektif antara institusi pendidikan dan masyarakat dalam upaya meningkatkan kesehatan ibu dan bayi.
