Abstrak

Background: This community service aims to improve the mentoring skills of supervising teachers in the PGSD PPG Pre-Service Study Field Wave 1 of 2024 at the State University of Malang, considering there are still obstacles in effective mentoring practices. This activity, which was carried out in August 2024, involves supervising teachers at partner schools. Method: The community service includes training, mentoring, and evaluation to develop more effective mentoring skills. Data were collected through a written test on mentoring skills and a questionnaire regarding suggestions and follow-up plans. Data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively using descriptive statistics and the Paired Sample t-test. Results: The results showed a significant increase in scores after the training compared to before the training, indicating the effectiveness of the activity in improving the mentoring skills of supervising teachers. In addition, the participants expressed that this training was instrumental in supporting their role as mentors for PPG PPL students. Conclusion: The training positively impacts the skills of supervising teachers in guiding PPG students.
