Diet dan nutrisi pasien gagal jantung: Tinjauan mini bagi praktisi klinis

Insiden Gagal Jantung (HF) terus meningkat di seluruh dunia, namun prognosisnya tetap buruk. Nutrisi merupakan faktor gaya hidup yang terlibat dalam pencegahan gagal jantung, sayangnya efek nutrien makro dan mikro serta pola diet dalam hal perkembangan dan pengobatan gagal jantung masihlah sedikit. Hal ini tercermin dalam kurangnya rekomendasi nutrisi di semua panduan klinis HF. Tinjauan pustaka ini menggunakan 40 referensi pustaka dalam mencari diet dan nutrisi pada pasien gagal jantung. Dalam tinjauan mini ini, akan didiskusikan implikasi diet terhadap pembatasan natrium, pembatasan kalori, suplementasi lemak, protein dan mikronutrien dalam pengaturan tatalaksana HF. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa diperlukan pengetahuan gizi untuk tatalaksana holistik pasien gagal jantung mulai dari tatacara pembatasan natrium, pola makan yang disarankan, pembatasan kalori sampai suplementasinya.
