Research of Science Education (RSE) should make clear the type of copyright under which the work will be published. If the journal retains copyright, it should detail its position on transferring copyright for all content, including audio and video, protocols, and data sets. Articles published in RSE will be Open-Access articles distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License (CC-BY). The copyright is retained by the author(s). RSE will insert the following note at the end of the published text:

Human & Animal Rights Statement:

Research involving human subjects, human material, or human data must have been performed by the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by an independent local, regional, or national review body (e.g., ethics committee, institutional review board).

When reporting experiments on animals, authors should indicate whether institutional and national standards for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed. Further guidance on animal research ethics is available from the International Association of Veterinary Editors’ Consensus Author Guidelines on Animal Ethics and Welfare.

Informed Consent:

All patients and participants in a research project should be thoroughly informed about the study's aims and any possible side effects of the drugs and interventions. Written informed consent from the participants or their legal guardians is necessary for such studies. The Journal reserves the right to request the related documents. Articles that require informed consent should contain associated statements in the “Methods” section.

Conflict of Interest:

We request all authors to inform us about any “Conflict of Interest” (financial, personal, political, or academic) that could affect their judgment. Authors must declare all potential interests in a ‘Conflicts of interest’ section, which should explain why the claim may be a conflict. If there are none, the authors should state, “The author(s) declare(s) that there are no conflicts of interest regarding the publication of this paper.” Submitting authors are responsible for coauthors declaring their interests.

Authors must declare current or recent funding (including article processing charges) and other payments, goods, or services that might influence the work. All funding, whether a conflict or not, must be declared in the ‘Funding Statement’.

The involvement of anyone other than the authors who 1) has an interest in the outcome of the work; 2) is affiliated with an organization with such an interest; or 3) was employed or paid by a funder in the commissioning, conception, planning, design, conduct, or analysis of the work, the preparation or editing of the manuscript, or the decision to publish must be declared.

Declared conflicts of interest will be considered by the editor and reviewers and included in the published article.

Plagiarism:

Authors cannot utilize verbatim text of previously published papers or manuscripts submitted elsewhere. COPE’s flowcharts and guidelines are approached in cases where plagiarism is detected. After we receive the articles, we send them to the admin who is responsible for the Turnitin account that our university has. He will do the scanning process. We will forward the articles to the editor if we do not find any plagiarism in the scanning result. However, if we find plagiarism, there will be two actions. First, if the plagiarism is less than 25%, we recommend the writer revise his/her paper/article. Second, if it is more than 25%, we will reject the papers/articles.

Retraction Policy:

The journal uses the COPE flowchart for the retraction of a published article to determine whether a published paper should be retracted.
