Abstract

Background: Limbah peternakan, khususnya kotoran sapi, menjadi permasalahan utama bagi kelompok tani di Kecamatan Sibolangit karena volumenya yang besar dan belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Kondisi ini menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan sekaligus pemborosan sumber daya yang seharusnya memiliki nilai ekonomi. Sementara itu, BUMDes sebagai motor penggerak ekonomi desa belum mampu mengelola potensi tersebut secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok tani melalui inovasi pengolahan limbah peternakan menjadi pupuk organik dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan BUMDes. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan komprehensif melalui kombinasi penyuluhan, pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung, konsultasi teknis, serta pendampingan kelembagaan dengan dukungan observasi, wawancara, FGD, dan kuesioner. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terbentuknya unit usaha pupuk organik di BUMDes dengan kapasitas produksi 2–3 ton per bulan. Evaluasi capaian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan mitra sebesar 65% dan keterampilan praktis 78% berdasarkan perbandingan pre-test dan post-test. Produk pupuk organik yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar kualitas SNI dan mampu mengurangi volume limbah hingga 80% serta menurunkan pencemaran air tanah. Secara ekonomi, program ini memberikan tambahan pendapatan signifikan bagi BUMDes dan kelompok tani, sekaligus membuktikan efektivitas pemberdayaan berbasis inovasi limbah dalam mendukung pembangunan desa berkelanjutan.
