Abstrak
Background: Data tahun 2023 diketahui sekitar 39,9 juta orang di dunia telah hidup dengan HIV. Provinsi Jawa Timur menempati posisi kedua dengan 77.447 kasus orang yang hidup dengan HIV/AIDS pada tahun 2022. Orang dengan HIV (ODHIV) membutuhkan dukungan sosial untuk pengobatan, perawatan, dan membangun ketahanan diri. Tanpa dukungan tersebut, mereka berisiko mengalami penurunan kesehatan, kesulitan akses perawatan, kehilangan semangat, dan perasaan tak berdaya. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Model Information, Motivation, Behavioral Skills (IMB) melalui penyuluhan oleh dua narasumber ahli. Media pendukung berupa buku saku juga dibagikan kepada peserta. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 3 Agustus 2024 dengan sasaran pendukung sebaya dari Yayasan Mahameru cabang Kota Malang dan perwakilan penjangkau lapangan dari Kota dan Kabupaten Malang. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil pre-test dan post-test peserta. Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test sebesar 13 poin. Uji Paired T-Test menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata nilai pre-test dan post-test setelah diberikan edukasi (p=0,006). Hasil uji T menunjukkan T hitung lebih besar dari T tabel, yang mengindikasikan perbedaan signifikan. Kesimpulan: Program penyuluhan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai penanganan HIV/AIDS dan komunikasi efektif dengan ODHIV. Untuk memperkuat peran pendukung sebaya, pelatihan tambahan seperti Psychological First Aid diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalam memberikan dukungan emosional yang tepat.
