Abstrak

Background: Program HERO (Helping and Empowering Women in Reproductive Choices) merupakan inisiatif pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan perempuan usia subur di Desa Sumbersekar, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Analisis situasi terhadap Praktik Mandiri Bidan Sunarni mengungkap sejumlah tantangan signifikan, yaitu kurangnya kader kesehatan desa yang terlatih secara memadai untuk mendukung tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat yang bersumber dari faktor pendidikan dan ekonomi. Metode: Dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2024 dan melalui dua sesi edukasi yang melibatkan tenaga kesehatan desa dan perempuan usia subur, program ini memberikan informasi tentang keluarga berencana, kesehatan reproduksi, dan gizi prakonsepsi. Sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan, peserta mengikuti pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada rata-rata nilai posttest (89,80) dibandingkan pretest (57,80). Selain itu, distribusi tingkat pengetahuan menunjukkan peningkatan kategori "baik" dari 0% pada pretest menjadi 76% pada posttest. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi yang diberikan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai kesehatan prakonsepsi. Tindak lanjut dan monitoring oleh kader desa diperlukan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan pengetahuan dan perilaku sehat yang telah diperoleh. Kesimpulan: Pentingnya untuk membangun keberhasilan inisiatif HERO dengan menerapkan program pendidikan yang sedang berlangsung dan mengatasi kesenjangan pengetahuan yang tersisa.
