Abstract
Pendahuluan: Sindrom metabolik masih menjadi masalah kesehatan serius di Indonesia, dengan prevalensi mencapai 39%. Kondisi ini dapat dicegah melalui perubahan gaya hidup dan deteksi dini. Pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai gaya hidup sehat menjadi kunci dalam upaya pencegahan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat Desa Ciangsana, Bogor, Jawa Barat terhadap pentingnya deteksi dini dan gaya hidup yang tepat dalam mencegah sindrom metabolik. Metode: Kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyuluhan yang disertai pengisian kuesioner pre dan post penyuluhan untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan. Pemeriksaan gula darah puasa dan pengukuran antropometrik juga dilakukan, dilanjutkan sesi konsultasi. Hasil: Seluruh responden adalah perempuan dengan rerata usia 42,4 tahun. Sebanyak 43,3% berpendidikan SMP, 73,3% mengalami obesitas, 80% obesitas sentral, 45,5% hipertensi, dan 60% memiliki gula darah puasa ≥ 100 mg/dL. Uji Wilcoxon signed rank menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan setelah penyuluhan (p<0,001). Kesimpulan: Penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat. Kolaborasi tenaga kesehatan dan pemerintah daerah penting dalam penerapan kebijakan pencegahan sindrom metabolik.
