Abstract

Background: Banyak produk UMKM Indonesia yang sangat layak untuk menjadi komoditas ekspor. Namun data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) rata-rata UMKM Indonesia mempunyai pengetahuan yang terbatas mengenai seluk-beluk persiapan produk untuk tujuan ekspor, 2) jumlah produk UMKM Indonesia yang diekspor masih sedikit. Oleh sebab itu pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan UMKM Indonesia untuk go digital dan memasuki pasar internasional, khususnya Australia. Metode: Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara daring selama sebelas minggu berturut-turut pada bulan April – Juli 2021. Selain pelatihan daring, proyek ini juga memberikan pendampingan kepada UMKM dan kurasi produk mereka untuk diekspor. Rata-rata peserta setiap sesi pelatihan daring adalah 200 orang. Selama pelatihan, dilakukan pre dan post test untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta terhadap materi webinar. Hasil: Hasil uji-t pada skor pre dan post test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam pemahaman para peserta terutama perihal bisnis, penciptaan produk untuk ekspor, menciptakan profil perusahaan yang profesional, merancang kemasan yang kreatif, pengetahuan tentang proses ekspor, dan kesadaran akan hak kekayaan intelektual. Kesimpulan: 1) Pelatihan secara online terbukti efektif untuk pembelajaran UMKM, 2) Pendampingan untuk UMKM secara online mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan UMKM dalam mempersiapkan produknya untuk ekspor, 3) masih diperlukan pelatihan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar UMKM Indonesia semakin siap menghadapi tantangan perdagangan internasional, terutama ekspor.
