Abstract

Based on the results of observations, child interviews, and teacher interviews on the implementation of learning to speak retelling dongen in class II SD Muhammadiyah 24 Rawamangun. The that grade II students are appearing wrong in front of their friends, resulting in untrained children's speech skills so that children are less able to speak with coherent language according to the material described with effective sentences, and choose effective sentences. This research is included in the type of development research. The model to be used is the 4D Model, proposed by Thiagrajaan and Sammel in Ibrahim, 2002), namely define, design, develop. and dessiminate. Based on individual assessments, the percentage results show 88%, while small and large groups have percentage results from trials of 85% and 82% in the feasible category. The results of the feasibility test above from media experts have a percentage of 84% and material experts have a percentage of 82% with a decent category. Based on the evaluation results from the expert questionnaire and student respondents, the conclusion obtained is that this media can be implemented and appropriate for use in honing students' speaking skills.
