Abstract

Abstract” MIMO technique is used in antennas to improve performance capacitance and wireless communication systems. MIMO antennas are used in wireless technology because they can increase throughput without additional bandwidth or transmit power. Mutual coupling occurs when two or more antennas are positioned close together in the same radiation field as is the case with MIMO antennas. To overcome the mutual coupling on the MIMO antenna with a polarization diversity technique, namely ±45° slant polarization. In this study, we designed a 1X2 MIMO antenna for wifi applications which consisted of two square patch radiators which were cut on a square radiator to produce a ±45° polarization, unidirectional radiation pattern at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. The results of the simulation process show the middle frequency is 2.4 GHz, return loss is -19.984 dBi, bandwidth is 359 MHz, mutual coupling is -19.22 dB, and gain is 4.43 dBi. Meanwhile, the fabrication results show a shift of 3.7916 % for the center frequency of 6.7 GHz, return loss of -46,644 dBi and bandwidth of 417 MHz.
