Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of mathematics materials-based ethnomathematics on the ability of mathematical problem solving students. The research method used in this research is quantitative method with research type of posttes only control design. The sampling technique used in this research is cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques used are documentation method, observation method and test method. Data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative, data analysis technique using ttest. Based on the calculation of ttest between the experimental and control classes obtained a value of 2.222 while ttable = 1.671 from the results can be seen that tobs> ttable this shows that the average value of experimental class is better than the average value of control class. From these results can be concluded that the use of mathematics materials-based ethnomathematics better than the learning that does not use mathematics materials-based ethnomathematics.
