Abstract

Background: IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning in elementary school often involves abstract material, which can impede students' competency achievement. Digital Audiovisual Learning Media offers a solution by presenting information concretely and engagingly. However, an in-depth analysis of the needs and the specific impact of this media on learning outcomes is necessary. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the need for digital IPAS learning media and evaluate its impact on enhancing Elementary School students' Competency Achievement. Methods: A quantitative Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, supported by a Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research subjects were fourth-grade students. Data were analyzed descriptively for needs and using a paired t-test to measure the increase in competency achievement. Results and Discussion: The needs analysis showed the urgency for relevant media development. Upon implementation, the digital audiovisual media proved effective, indicated by a significant increase in posttest scores (p < 0.05) in students' knowledge and skills aspects. Research Contribution: This study contributes by providing a digital IPAS learning media design that has been tested for validity and effectiveness, which can serve as a practical reference for elementary school teachers.

Latar Belakang: Pembelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) di Sekolah Dasar seringkali dihadapkan pada materi yang bersifat abstrak, yang dapat menghambat pencapaian kompetensi siswa. Media Pembelajaran Digital Audiovisual menawarkan solusi dengan menyajikan informasi secara konkret dan menarik. Namun, analisis mendalam tentang kebutuhan dan dampak media ini terhadap hasil belajar spesifik diperlukan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan media pembelajaran digital IPAS dan mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap peningkatan Pencapaian Kompetensi siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode: Penelitian Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan model ADDIE, didukung dengan desain Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk kebutuhan, dan uji-t berpasangan untuk mengukur peningkatan pencapaian kompetensi. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan adanya urgensi pengembangan media yang relevan. Setelah diterapkan, media audiovisual digital terbukti efektif, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan skor posttest yang signifikan (p < 0.05) pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa. Kontribusi Penelitian: Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam menyediakan desain media pembelajaran digital IPAS yang teruji validitas dan efektivitasnya, yang dapat dijadikan referensi praktis bagi guru SD.
