Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menelaah dan mengkaji hubungan antara profesionalisme guru dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua secara parsial dan simultan dengan prestasi belajar IPA siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei. Populasi terjangkau sebanyak 749 orang siswa, sampel berjumlah 109 siswa. Data dihimpun melalui tes dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara profesionalisme guru dengan prestasi belajar IPA siswa, 2) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi orang tua dengan prestasi belajar IPA, 3) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara profesionalisme guru dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar IPA.


 


The study aims to examine the relationship between teacher professionalism and parents’ socio- economic status partially and simultaneously with the students' Natural Science learning achievement. The research uses a survey method. An affordable population amounts to 749 students, and the samples have 109 students. Data are collected through tests and questionnaires. The results of research show that: 1) there is a positive and significant relationship between teacher professionalism and the students’ learning achievement, 2) there is a positive and significant relatiosnhip between socioeconomic status of parents and Natural Science learning achievement, and 3) there is positive and significant relationships between teacher professionalism and the socioeconomic status of parents together with the learning achievement of Natural Science.
