Etnomatematika: Arsitektur Masjid Raden Anji Ma’ra Sebagai Media Pembelajaran
Abstract
Matematika sering dianggap sulit, membutuhkan media kontekstual.
Mathematics is often considered difficult, requiring contextual media. Ethnomathematics, which links mathematics with culture, offers a solution. However, ethnomathematics research in Lombok has not explored mosque architecture. The purpose of this study is to analyze ethnomathematics in the architecture of the Jamik Raden Anji Ma'ra mosque as a source of mathematics learning media. With a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through observation, documentation, and literature studies. The results and discussion show that the architecture of this mosque is rich in diverse geometric concepts (space and plane shapes). These findings indicate the significant potential of mosque architecture as a contextual learning medium that supports mathematical understanding. This study offers novelty by focusing on mosque architecture, opening up innovative perspectives for local culture-based mathematics learning.
