The results of this study indicate that the theory of relativity in Science describes the special theory of relativity : This theory demonstrates the concept of the speed of time, making time relative. Time as a physical variable is also affected by the lack of a universal frame of reference. When a frame moves relative to a frame of reference, a still reference, the time experienced by a person in a moving frame will be different from the time experienced by a person in a stationary frame. This time difference is called time dilation (relativity temporal) And only applies if moving at the same speed. At the same time, Science in the theory of relativity is used in various fields, including cosmology, satellite technology, and astrophysics. So, the theory of relativity in understanding Science Science has a relevant relationship. Applying the theory of relativity in Science can help overcome the difficulty of understanding students and the general public towards abstract physics concepts and facilitate the development of technology.
Syifaul Aini Mulyadi, Chairatul Umamah, Muslimah, Mutmainnah, Pu'adi Copyright (c) 2025 Omega: Jurnal Fisika dan Pendidikan Fisika https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/15781 Wed, 10 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Analysis Of The Influence Of Social Factors On Students' Understanding Of Physics Material https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/18247
This study aims to assess the extent to which social factors influence students' understanding of physics concepts. The factors examined include social relationships within the family, peer influence, and the students' environment. The research employs a quantitative approach using simple linear regression and descriptive correlation methods. Data were collected through questionnaires involving 34 female students in a physics class. The analysis results indicate that in the F test, the obtained value was 0.126 with a significance of 0.00, while in the regression test, the regression value was 0.063. The correlation test for students’ conceptual understanding of physics resulted in a significance value of 0.725. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that social factors do not have a significant influence on learning outcomes and students’ understanding of physics concepts. This suggests that other factors beyond social aspects play a more significant role in supporting students' comprehension of physics material.
Audya Taqillah, Muslimah, Mutmainnah, Naili Rohmatika, Wilda Musyarrofah Copyright (c) 2025 Omega: Jurnal Fisika dan Pendidikan Fisika https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/18247 Wed, 10 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Thermal Conductivity Analysis of Solar Drum Dryer Machine as a Drying Machine for Corn Seeds https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/12952
Drum dryers are an important component in the agro-industry, particularly in corn processing. This study investigates the absorption values and absorption coefficients of three wood-based materials particle board, plywood, and Dutch teak wood at audio (1.2–3 kHz) and ultrasonic (35–45 kHz) frequencies. Experimental results show that particle board exhibits the highest absorption in the audio range, attributed to its porous structure that effectively attenuates sound waves. Plywood demonstrates variable absorption behavior, with superior performance at higher ultrasonic frequencies. Dutch teak wood displays the most stable acoustic response across both ranges, achieving the highest absorption coefficient of 1.51 at 35 kHz. Additional analysis of density and moisture content indicates that porosity and humidity significantly affect sound absorption characteristics. Overall, the findings provide a comparative basis for selecting wood-based materials in acoustic applications, including architectural design and soundproofing products, and suggest further research on the influence of environmental factors on absorption capacity.
Aep Setiawan, Ahmad Ripai, Wahyu Dian Laksanawati, Amrullah Kamaruddin, Mersi Kurniawati Copyright (c) 2025 Omega: Jurnal Fisika dan Pendidikan Fisika https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/20170 Wed, 10 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Effect of Using Phet Simulation Media on Physics Learning Achievement: A Literature Review https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/omega/article/view/20217
This study aims to examine the effect of using PhET (Physics Education Technology) simulation media on students' physics learning achievement through a literature review approach.
