The Malacca Strait Coastal Area, which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, has cultural, religious, and economic policy differences that affect people's happiness. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Islamicity Index, economic growth, and Human Development Index (HDI) on happiness in this region. The research method used is a quantitative-descriptive design, with secondary data from 2020 to 2024 covering the Islamicity Index, HDI, and economic growth. Descriptive analysis shows that the Islamicity Index has a significant negative effect on happiness with a coefficient of -0.257985 (p-value 0.0067), while economic growth has a varied impact. HDI had the most significant positive influence with a coefficient of 7.616624 (p-value 0.0000). These findings show that HDI is the dominant factor in increasing happiness, while the Islamicity Index and economic growth require a more inclusive approach. The results of this study are expected to provide insight for policymakers to prioritize increasing HDI to achieve sustainable happiness in the Malacca Strait Coastal area.
Muhammad Rizal Akbar Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Urban: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Filantropi Islam http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-20 2024-12-20 8 2 157 169 10.22236/alurban_vol8.i2/17971 Tata Kelola Syariah: Peran Vital Dewan Pengawas Syariah dalam Mewujudkan Kepatuhan dan Kinerja Bank Syariah https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/al-urban/article/view/17246
This study aims to analyze the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in the governance of Islamic banks in Indonesia, with a focus on the supervision of sharia compliance and its influence on financial performance. The method used is scoping review, by collecting and analyzing 33 relevant articles that discuss the functions and challenges of DPS. The results of the study show that DPS has a central role in ensuring compliance with sharia principles and contributing positively to the financial performance of Islamic banks. The competence of DPS members, including the size and frequency of meetings, has been proven to affect the effectiveness of supervision. Nonetheless, DPS face challenges, such as a lack of qualified human resources and adequate education, which can reduce the effectiveness of their supervision. The study also found that DPS functions as a moderator in the relationship between the board of directors and bank performance, strengthening Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in Islamic banks. Thus, it is important for the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to improve the competence of DPS through stricter training programs and regulations. This research provides significant insights for policy development in the Islamic banking sector, with the hope of improving the credibility and performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia
Amrie Firmansyah Fikri Hidayat Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Urban : Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Filantropi Islam http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 8 2 188 203 10.22236/alurban_vol8.i2/17246 Analisis Kontrak Syariah Dalam E-Commerce: Studi Terhadap Akad Murabahah dan Salam di Era Digital https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/al-urban/article/view/18107
The development of e-commerce presents significant opportunities for Muslims to engage in digital transactions that align with Islamic legal principles. This study aims to analyse the application of Shariah-compliant contracts, specifically murabahah and salam, in digital transactions and identify the challenges faced in their implementation. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this research examines the validity of these contracts in e-commerce based on fiqh al-muamalat, DSN-MUI fatwas, and maqasid al-shariah. The findings reveal that murabahah and salam contracts are highly adaptable to e-commerce due to their emphasis on transparency and fairness. However, several key challenges were identified, including the potential for gharar caused by inaccurate product descriptions, the contentious validity of digital ijab and qabul, and the risk of riba in instalment-based payment systems. Proposed solutions include strengthening regulations tailored to Shariah-compliant e-commerce platforms, educating consumers and business actors on Shariah-compliant contracts, and providing more transparent transaction mechanisms to minimise gharar. This study concludes that implementing Shariah-compliant contracts in e-commerce aligns strongly with maqasid al-shariah, particularly in safeguarding wealth and ensuring justice for all parties involved.
Muhamad Ibnu Afrelian Chamdini Putri Khufyah Robe'nur Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Urban: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Filantropi Islam http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 8 2 204 211 10.22236/alurban_vol8.i2/18107 Analisis Pengaruh Indikator Brand Resonance Terhadap Brand Loyalty Pada Konsumen Restoran Berlabel Halal di Solo Raya https://journal.uhamka.ac.id/index.php/al-urban/article/view/18037
This study aims to examine (1) the effect of brand credibility, (2) the effect of service quality, (3) the effect of customer satisfaction, and (4) the effect of brand association on brand loyalty among users of halal-certified restaurants in Solo Raya. This study aims to analyze the main factors that drive the growth of the sharia economy, including government policies, public awareness, and adaptation of digital technology. Through qualitative research methods based on literature studies, it was found that strengthening regulations, technology-based product innovation, and sharia-based financial inclusion are key elements in building a sustainable sharia economic ecosystem. The government has a strategic role through policies such as the establishment of KNEKS, the merger of state-owned sharia banks, and the implementation of the Sharia KUR program. Although there are challenges such as limited infrastructure and low coordination between agencies, the implementation of the right strategy can optimize the potential of this sector. The results of the study show that collaboration between the financial sector, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and the government is able to encourage the competitiveness of the Indonesian sharia economy at the global level, while contributing to an inclusive and sustainable national economic transformation.
Meirani Rahayu Rukmanda Dewi Retna Wulan Nurhadi Nurhadi Copyright (c) 2024 Al-Urban: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah dan Filantropi Islam http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 8 2 212 222 10.22236/alurban_vol8.i2/18106
